ALEX SMITH
Alex first fell in love with the art of DJ’ing alongside his father in Kentucky, who taught him the craft. When he wasn’t spinning records, he was channeling his passion for music into playing in a local metal band.
WHO IS ALEX SMITH?
Alex began his journey in DJing by helping his father at bars and small parties around 2015. They never used turntables but instead hooked up a computer to old-school passive speakers and jammed out. Music has always been his main motivation, but another driving force stems from childhood memories. As a kid, he always found his way to the dance floor—whether at firehall dances in his hometown, campsite pavilion parties, or family weddings and birthdays. A great DJ playing the right songs always made those moments special, and now, with music being such a big part of his life, he feels it’s his time to return the favor.
Alex’s music rotation is diverse and ever-changing, depending on his mood. His go-to genres are hard/classic rock and heavy metal, spanning from the 1960s to today. He also enjoys country music from the ’80s onward and mixes in Motown, R&B, hip-hop, blues, and pop to keep things interesting.
When couples book Alex as their DJ, they can expect a fun and stress-free experience. He prioritizes active communication to stay on the same page with the couple, making sure everyone has an amazing time and dances their hearts out.
Beyond DJing, Alex is a full-time painter. He learned the trade from his father at the age of eight, continuing the legacy as a third-generation painter. Despite his busy work schedule, he always makes time for his family and enjoys hobbies such as gaming, golfing, playing instruments, and spending time outdoors.
His biggest life motivators are his faith and his son, both of whom drive him to get up every day, hustle, provide, and strive to be the best man he can be. He appreciates the opportunity to share his story and is honored to be considered as a DJ for such special moments.
